Snowtiresmustbethesamesizeandgradeasthetiresyou
currentlyhaveonyourvehicle.
Theoriginalequipmenttiresonyourvehiclehaveanall-weathertread
designtoprovidetraction,handling,andbrakingperformancein
year-rounddriving.Youmayinstallsnowtiresforimprovedtraction
whendrivinginareaswithsustainedperiodsofsnoworicydriving
conditions.
Ifyouchoosetoinstallsnowtiresonyourvehicle,theymustbethe
samesize,construction,andloadrangeastheoriginaltireslistedonthe
tireplacard,andtheymustbeinstalledonallfourwheels.Mixingtiresof
differentsizeorconstructiononyourvehiclecanadverselyaffectyour
vehicle’shandlingandbraking,andmayleadtolossofvehiclecontrol.
Donotusesnowchainsorcablesonthisvehicleastheymay
causedamagetoyourvehiclewhichmayleadtolossofvehicle
control.
VEHICLE LOADING – WITH AND WITHOUT A TRAILER
Thissectionwillguideyouintheproperloadingofyourvehicleand/or
trailer,tokeepyourloadedvehicleweightwithinitsdesignrating
capability,withorwithoutatrailer.Properlyloadingyourvehiclewill
providemaximumreturnofvehicledesignperformance.Beforeloading
yourvehicle,familiarizeyourselfwiththefollowingtermsfordetermining
yourvehicle’sweightratings,withorwithoutatrailer,fromthevehicle’s
SafetyComplianceCertificationLabel:
BaseCurbWeight–istheweightofthevehicleincludingafulltankof
fuelandallstandardequipment.Itdoesnotincludepassengers,cargo,or
optionalequipment.
VehicleCurbWeight–istheweightofyournewvehiclewhenyou
pickeditupfromyourauthorizeddealerplusanyaftermarket
equipment.
