Correctfluidlevel
Thetransmissionfluidshouldbecheckedatnormaloperating
temperatures120°F-140°F(50°C-60°C)onalevelsurface.Thenormal
operatingtemperaturecanbereachedafterapproximately20miles

km)ofdriving.

Highfluidlevel
Fluidlevelsabovethesaferange
mayresultintransaxlefailure.An
overfillconditionoftransmission

Beforeaddinganyfluid,makesurethecorrecttypeisused.Thetypeof
fluidusedisnormallyindicatedonthedipstickandalsointheMaintenance
productspecificationsandcapacitiessectioninthischapter.
Useofanon-approvedautomatictransmissionfluidmaycause
internaltransaxlecomponentdamage.
