Usethefollowingguidelinestoavoidelectrostaticchargebuild-upwhen
fillinganungroundedfuelcontainer:

Placeapprovedfuelcontainerontheground.
DONOTfillafuelcontainerwhileitisinthevehicle(includingthe
cargoarea).

Keepthefuelpumpnozzleincontactwiththefuelcontainerwhilefilling.
DONOTuseadevicethatwouldholdthefuelpumphandleinthefill
position.
Fuel Filler Cap
Yourfueltankfillercaphasanindexeddesignwitha1/4turnon/offfeature.
Whenfuelingyourvehicle:

Turntheengineoff.
Carefullyturnthefillercapcounterclockwise1/4ofaturnuntilitstops.
Pulltoremovethecapfromthefuelfillerpipe.
Toinstallthecap,alignthetabsonthecapwiththenotchesonthe
fillerpipe.

Turnthefillercapclockwise1/4ofaturnuntilatleastoneclickisheard.
IftheCHECKFUELCAPindicatorcomeson,thefuelfillercapmaynot
beproperlyinstalled.Turnofftheengine,removethefuelfillercap,
alignthecapproperlyandreinstallit.
