Controlsystemoffbypressingtheswitch.Thismayallowexcesswheel
spinto“dig”thevehicleoutandenableasuccessful“rocking”maneuver.
IfyouwanttoturnofftheTractionControlsystembeawarethat,for
safetyreasons,theswitchmustbepressedandheldforatleastone
secondbeforethesystemisturnedoff.Tore-engagetheTraction
Controlsystem,thebuttonmustagainbeheldforatleastonesecond.
Ifasystemfaultisdetected,thetractioncontrolactivelightwill
illuminate,theTractionControlbuttonwillnotturnthesystemonor
offandyourvehicleshouldbeservicedbyanauthorizeddealer.

Neverholdthesteeringwheelatitsfurthestturningpoints(untilit
stops)formorethanafewsecondswhentheengineisrunning.
Donotoperatethevehiclewithalowpowersteeringfluidlevel
(belowtheMINmarkonthereservoir).
Somenoiseisnormalduringoperation.Ifthenoiseisexcessive,check
foralowpowersteeringfluidlevelbeforeseekingservicebyyour
authorizeddealer.

Heavyorunevensteeringeffortsmaybecausedbyalowpower
steeringfluidlevel.Checkforalowpowersteeringfluidlevelbefore
seekingservicebyyourauthorizeddealer.

DonotfillthepowersteeringfluidreservoirabovetheMAXmarkon
thereservoir,asthismayresultinleaksfromthereservoir.
Ifthepowersteeringsystembreaksdown(oriftheengineisturned
off),youcansteerthevehiclemanually,butittakesmoreeffort.
