Adjusting the front manual seat
Sittingimproperlyoutofpositionorwiththeseatbackreclined
toofarcantakeoffweightfromtheseatcushionandaffectthe
decisionofthepassengersensingsystem,resultinginseriousinjuryor
deathinacrash.Alwayssituprightagainstyourseatback,withyour
feetonthefloor.
Toreducetheriskofpossibleseriousinjury:Donothangobjects
offseatbackorstowobjectsinmappocket(ifequipped)when
achildisinthefrontpassengerseat.Donotplaceobjectsunderneath
thefrontpassengerseatorbetweentheseatandthecenterconsole(if
equipped).Checkthe“passengerairbagoff”or“passairbagoff”
indicatorlampforproperairbagstatus.RefertoFrontpassenger
sensingsystemchapterforadditionaldetails.Failuretofollowthese
instructionsmayinterferewiththefrontpassengerseatsensing
system.
Pulltheleverlocatedunderthe
frontedgeoftheseattomovethe
seatforwardorbackward.
Turnthehandletoadjusttheheight
oftheseat.
Note:Theseatheightadjustment
maycreateagapbetweenthe
cushionandtheseatback.
