Thisisalockoutfeaturethatprotectsthetransmissionfrom
accidentallybeingshiftedintoR(Reverse)from5(Fifth).
IfR(Reverse)isnotfullyengaged,presstheclutchpedaldownand
returnthegearshifttotheneutralposition.Releasetheclutchpedalfor
amoment,thenpressitdownandshifttoR(Reverse)again.

Applythebrakeandshiftintotheneutralposition.
Fullyapplytheparkingbrake,thenshiftinto1(First).
Turntheignitionoff.
DonotparkyourvehicleinNeutral,itmaymoveunexpectedly
andinjuresomeone.Use1(First)gearandsettheparkingbrake
fully.
Removing the key
Turntheignitiontoposition1(LOCK)andremovethekey.
DRIVING THROUGH WATER
Ifdrivingthroughdeeporstanding
waterisunavoidable,proceedvery
slowlyespeciallywhenthedepthis
notknown.Neverdrivethrough
waterthatishigherthanthebottom
ofthewheelrims(forcars)orthe
bottomofthehubs(fortrucks).
Whendrivingthroughwater,tractionorbrakecapabilitymaybelimited.
Also,watermayenteryourengine’sairintakeandseverelydamageyour
engineoryourvehiclemaystall.Drivingthroughdeepwaterwhere
thetransmissionventtubeissubmergedmayallowwaterintothe
transmissionandcauseinternaltransmissiondamage.
Oncethroughthewater,alwaysdrythebrakesbymovingyour
vehicleslowlywhileapplyinglightpressureonthebrakepedal.
Wetbrakesdonotstopthevehicleasquicklyasdrybrakes.
