AssistancesectionofthisOwner’sManual.
WARNING: Anyalteration/modificationtothefrontpassenger
seatmayaffecttheperformanceofthefrontpassengersensing
system.
Determiningifthesystemisoperational
TheSRSusesareadinesslightintheinstrumentclusteroratoneto
indicatetheconditionofthesystem.RefertotheAirbagreadiness
sectionintheInstrumentClusterchapter.Routinemaintenanceofthe
airbagisnotrequired.
Amalfunctionwiththesystemisindicatedbyoneormoreofthe
following:

Thereadinesslightwilleither
flashorstaylit.
Thereadinesslightwillnot
illuminateimmediatelyafter
ignitionisturnedon.

Aseriesoffivebeepsoundswillbeheard.Thetonepatternwill
repeatperiodicallyuntiltheproblemand/orlightarerepaired.
Ifanyofthesethingshappen,evenintermittently,havetheSRSserviced
atyourauthorizedMazdadealershipimmediately.
WARNING: Unlessserviced,thesystemmaynotfunction
properlyintheeventofacollision.

WARNING: Donotplaceobjectsormountequipmentonor
neartheairbagcoveronthesideoftheseatbacksofthefront
seatsorinfrontseatareasthatmaycomeintocontactwitha
deployingairbag.Failuretofollowtheseinstructionsmay
increasetheriskofpersonalinjuryintheeventofacollision.
