TheRSCsystemworksinconjunctionwiththeESCsystemtohelp
maintainrollstabilityofthevehicleduringaggressivemaneuversby
applyingbrakeforcetooneormorewheels.
DuringRollStabilityControl௢(RSC)eventsthe“slidingcar”iconinthe
instrumentclusterwillflashmomentarily.

ElectronicStabilityControl(ESC)buttonandiconfunctionality
TheESCsystemautomaticallyturnsoneachtimetheengineisstarted,
evenifitwasturnedoffwhentheenginewaslastshutdown.The
“slidingcar”iconwhichislocatedwiththewarninglightsinthe
instrumentclusterwillilluminateduringbulbcheckatinitialstart-upand
thengooff.Thistellsyouthatthesystemisnormalandactive.All
functionsoftheESCsystem(RSC,DSC,andTCS)willbeactivatedat
startup.Whenthesystemisleftactive,the“slidingcar”iconwillflash
onlywhenanyofthecomponentsofthesystemareaffectingthe
vehicle’sperformance,otherwisethelightwillremainoff.Consequently,
the“slidingcar”iconwillnotbeilluminatedduringmostofyournormal
driving.
TheESCbutton,locatedonthe
centerstackoftheinstrument
panel,allowsthedrivertocontrol
certainfeaturesoftheESCsystem
below25mph(40km/h).Ifthe
vehicleisbelow25mph(40km/h),
momentarilypressingtheESCbuttonwilldisableRSC,DSCandEngine
TractionControlandsteadilyilluminatethe“slidingcar”icon.Pressing
andholdingtheESCbuttonformorethanfivesecondswillfurther
disablethebrakeportionoftheTractionControlfeatureandthe“sliding
car”iconwillflashmomentarilyandthenilluminatesteady.
