WARNING: Underenginemisfireconditions,excessiveexhaust
temperaturescoulddamagethecatalyticconverter,thefuel
system,interiorfloorcoveringsorothervehiclecomponents,
possiblycausingafire.
Checkfuelcap:Momentarily
illuminateswhentheignitionis
turnedtotheRUNpositionto
ensureyourbulbisworking.When
thelightstayson,checkthefuel
fillercap.Continuingtooperatethe
vehiclewiththecheckfuelcaplighton,canactivatethe
warning
light.Whenthefuelfillercapisproperlyre-installed,thelight(s)will
turnoffafteraperiodofnormaldriving.Thisperiodwillvarydepending
ondrivingconditions.
Itmaytakealongperiodoftimeforthesystemtodetectan
improperlyinstalledfuelfillercap.
Formoreinformation,refertoFuelfillercapintheMaintenanceand
Specificationschapter.
Brakesystemwarninglight:To
confirmthebrakesystemwarning
lightisfunctional,itwill
momentarilyilluminatewhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheRUN

positionwhentheengineisnotrunning,orinapositionbetweenRUN
andSTART,orbyapplyingtheparkingbrakewhentheignitionisturned
totheRUNposition.Ifthebrakesystemwarninglightdoesnot
illuminateatthistime,seekserviceimmediatelyfromanauthorized
Mazdadealer.Illuminationafterreleasingtheparkingbrakeindicateslow
brakefluidlevelandthebrakesystemshouldbeinspectedimmediately
byanauthorizedMazdadealer.
WARNING: Drivingavehiclewiththebrakesystemwarning
lightonisdangerous.Asignificantdecreaseinbraking
performancemayoccur.Itwilltakeyoulongertostopthe
vehicle.Havethevehiclecheckedbyyourauthorizeddealer.
Drivingextendeddistanceswiththeparkingbrakeengagedcan
causebrakefailureandtheriskofpersonalinjury.
