Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
WARNING:Afteranyvehiclecollision,thesafetybeltsystems
atallseatingpositions(exceptthedriverposition,whichdoesn’t
havethisfeature)mustbecheckedbyanauthorizeddealertoverify
thattheautomaticlockingretractorfeatureforchildseatsisstill
functioningproperly.Inaddition,allsafetybeltsshouldbecheckedfor
properfunction.
WARNING:BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBE
REPLACEDifthesafetybeltassembly“automaticlocking
retractor”featureoranyothersafetybeltfunctionisnotoperating
properlywhencheckedbyanauthorizeddealer.Failuretoreplacethe
BeltandRetractorassemblycouldincreasetheriskofinjuryin
collisions.
Safety belt height adjustment
Yourvehiclehassafetybeltheight
adjustmentsatthefrontoutboard
seatingpositions.Adjusttheheight
oftheshoulderbeltsothebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.
Toadjusttheshoulderbeltheight,
squeezeandholdthebuttonsonthe
sideandslidetheheightadjusterup
ordown.Releasethebuttonsand
pulldownontheheightadjusterto
makesureitislockedinplace.
WARNING:Positionthesafetybeltheightadjusterssothatthe
beltrestsacrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.Failuretoadjust
thesafetybeltproperlycouldreducetheeffectivenessofthesafety
beltandincreasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
