conditions.Avoidsharpturns,excessivespeedorabruptmaneuversin
thesevehicles.Failuretodrivecautiouslycouldresultinanincreased
riskoflossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjuryand
death.
WARNING:Loadedvehicles,withahighercenterofgravity,
mayhandledifferentlythanunloadedvehicles.Donotoverload
yourvehicleanduseextraprecautions,suchasdrivingatslower
speeds,avoidingabruptsteeringchangesandallowingforincreased
stoppingdistance,whendrivingaheavilyloadedvehicle.Over-loading
orloadingthevehicleimproperlycandeterioratehandlingcapability
andcontributetolossofvehiclecontrolandvehiclerollover.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OPERATION (IF EQUIPPED)
Brake-shift interlock
Thisvehicleisequippedwithabrake-shiftinterlockfeaturethatprevents
thegearshiftleverfrombeingmovedfromP(Park)whentheignitionis
intheonpositionunlessbrakepedalispressed.
IfyoucannotmovethegearshiftleveroutofP(Park)withignitionin
theonpositionandthebrakepedalpressed,itispossiblethatafusehas
blownorthevehicle’sbrakelampsarenotoperatingproperly.Referto
FusesandrelaysintheRoadsideEmergencieschapter.
Ifthefuseisnotblown,performthefollowingprocedure:

Applytheparkingbrake,turntheignitiontooff,thenremovethekey.
