Performtirepressureadjustmentwhenthe

tiresarecold.Tirepressurewillvary
accordingtothetiretemperature,therefore
letthevehiclestandfor1houroronlydrive
it1.6km(1mile)orlessbeforeadjusting
thetirepressures.Whenpressureis
adjustedonhottirestothecoldinflation
pressure,theTPMSwarninglight/beepmay
turnonafterthetirescoolandpressure
dropsbelowspecification.
CAUTION
Whenreplacing/repairingthetiresor
wheelsorboth,havetheworkdone
byanAuthorizedMazdaDealer,or
thetirepressuresensorsmaybe
damaged.
Also,anilluminatedTPMSwarninglight,
resultingfromthetireairpressuredropping
duetocoldambienttemperature,maygo
outiftheambienttemperaturerises.Inthis
case,itwillalsobenecessarytoadjustthe
tireairpressures.IftheTPMSwarning
lightilluminatesduetoadropintireair
pressure,makesuretocheckandadjustthe
tireairpressures.
Afteradjustingthetireairpressures,itmay
requiresometimefortheTPMSwarning
lighttogoout.IftheTPMSwarninglight
remainsilluminated,drivethevehicleata
speedofatleast25km/h(16mph)for10
minutes,andthenverifythatitgoesout.
Tirescanloosealittleairquitenaturally
overtimeandtheTPMScannottellifthe
tiresaregettingtoosoftovertimeoryou
haveaflat.However,whenyoufindone
lowtireinasetoffour-thatisan
l
l
indicationoftrouble;youshouldhave
someonedrivethevehicleslowlyforward
soyoucaninspectanylowtireforcutsand
anymetalstickingthroughtreador
sidewall.Putafewdropsofwaterinthe
valvestemtoseeifitbubblesindicatinga
badvalve.Leaksneedtobeaddressedby
morethansimplyrefillingthetroubletireas
leaksaredangerous-takeittoan
AuthorizedMazdaDealerwhichhasallthe
equipmenttofixtires,TPMSsystemsand
orderthebestreplacementtireforyour
vehicle.
