LATCHchild-restraintsystemsintherearseat.Bothanchorsmustbeused,otherwisethe
seatwillbouncearoundandputthechildindanger.MostLATCHchild-restraintsystems
mustalsobeusedinconjunctionwithatethertobeeffective.Iftheyhaveatetheryou
mustuseittobetterassureyourchild'ssafety.

Followthemanufacturer'sinstructionsfortheuseofthechild-restraintsystem:
Anunsecuredchild-restraintsystemisdangerous.Inasuddenstoporacollisionit
couldmovecausingseriousinjuryordeathtothechildorotheroccupants.Make
surethechild-restraintsystemisproperlysecuredinplaceaccordingtothechild-
restraintsystemmanufacturer'sinstructions.
Makesurethechild-restraintsystemisproperlysecured:
Anunsecuredchild-restraintsystemisdangerous.Inasuddenstoporacollisionit
couldmovecausingseriousinjuryordeathtothechildorotheroccupants.Follow
thechild-restraintsystemmanufacturer'sinstructionsonbeltroutingtosecurethe
seatjustasyouwouldwithachildinitsothatnobodyistemptedtoputachildin
animproperlysecuredseatlateron.Whennotinuse,removeitfromthevehicleor
fastenitwithaseatbelt,orlatchitdowntoBOTHLATCHloweranchorsforLATCH
child-restraintsystems.
MakesuretherearenoseatbeltsorforeignobjectsnearoraroundtheLATCHchild-
restraintsystem:
Notfollowingthechild-restraintsystemmanufacturer'sinstructionswheninstalling
thechild-restraintsystemisdangerous.Ifseatbeltsoraforeignobjectpreventthe
child-restraintsystemfrombeingsecurelyattachedtotheLATCHloweranchorsand
thechild-restraintsystemisinstalledimproperly,thechild-restraintsystemcould
moveinasuddenstoporcollisioncausingseriousinjuryordeathtothechildor
otheroccupants.Wheninstallingthechild-restraintsystem,makesurethereareno
seatbeltsorforeignobjectsnearoraroundtheLATCHloweranchors.Alwaysfollow
thechild-restraintsystemmanufacturer'sinstructions.
