Move the safety latch, located under the front edge of
CAUTION!
Topreventpossibledamage,donotslamthehoodto
close it. Lower the hood until it is open approxi-
mately 8 in (20 cm) and then drop it. This should
securebothlatches.Neverdriveyourvehicleunless
thehoodisfullyclosed,withbothlatchesengaged.
WARNING!
Besurethehoodisfullylatchedbeforedrivingyour
vehicle.Ifthehoodisnotfullylatched,itcouldopen
whenthevehicleisinmotionandblockyourvision.
Failuretofollowthiswarningcouldresultinserious
injuryordeath.
SafetyLatch
Usethehoodproprodclippedtothedriver’ssideofthe
engine compartment to secure the hood in the open
position.Placethehoodpropatthelocationstampedinto
theinnerhoodsurface.
