You will want to have the airbags ready to
inflateforyourprotectioninacollision.While
the airbag system is designed to be mainte- 2
nancefree,ifanyofthefollowingoccurs,have
anauthorizeddealerservicethesystemimmediately.

Do not attempt to modify any part of your ad-
vanced airbag system. The airbag may inflate
accidentallyormaynotfunctionproperlyifmodi-
ficationsaremade.Takeyourvehicletoanautho-
rized dealer for any advanced airbag system ser-
vice. If your seat, including your trim cover and
cushion,needstobeservicedinanyway(includ-
ingremovalorloosening/tighteningofseatattach-
ment bolts), take the vehicle to your authorized
dealer.Onlymanufacturerapprovedseataccesso-
ries may be used. If it is necessary to modify the
airbagsystemforpersonswithdisabilities,contact
yourauthorizeddealer.

The Airbag Warning Light does not come on for
approximatelysixtoeightsecondswhentheignition
switchisfirstturnedON.
•

The Airbag Warning Light remains on after the ap-
proximatesixtoeight-secondinterval.
TheAirbagWarningLightcomesonintermittentlyor
remainsonwhiledriving.
NOTE: If the speedometer, tachometer, or any engine
related gauges are not working, the Occupant Restraint
Controller(ORC)mayalsobedisabled.Theairbagsmay
not be ready to inflate for your protection. Promptly
