Some vehicles may have Supplemental Tire Pressure
Information for vehicle loads that are less than the
maximumloadedvehiclecondition.Thesepressurecon-
ditionswillbefoundinthe“SupplementalTirePressure
Information”sectionofthismanual.

Economy
Improper inflation pressures can cause uneven wear
patternstodevelopacrossthetiretread.Theseabnormal
wearpatternswillreducetreadliferesultinginaneedfor
earlier tire replacement. Under-inflation also increases
tire rolling resistance and results in higher fuel
consumption.
Thepressureshouldbecheckedandadjusted,aswellas
inspectedforsignsoftirewearorvisibledamageatleast
onceamonth.Useagoodqualitypocket-typegaugeto
check tire pressure. Do not make a visual judgement
whendeterminingproperinflation.Radialtiresmaylook
properlyinflatedevenwhentheyareunder-inflated.
RideComfortandVehicleStability
Proper tire inflation contributes to a comfortable ride.
Over-inflation produces a jarring and uncomfortable
ride.
