ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) cannot prevent
the natural laws of physics from acting on the ve-
hicle,norcantheyincreasethetractionaffordedby
prevailingroadconditions.TheABScannotprevent
accidents, including those resulting from excessive
speedinturns,drivingonveryslipperysurfaces,or
hydroplaning.ThecapabilitiesofanABS-equipped
vehicle must never be exploited in a reckless or
dangerousmannerwhichcouldjeopardizetheuser’s
safetyorthesafetyofothers.
Your vehicle is equipped with an advanced electronic
brakecontrolsystemthatincludesAnti-LockBrakeSys-
tem (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS), BrakeAssist
System (BAS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Electronic Roll
Mitigation(ERM),ElectronicStabilityProgram(ESP)and
Trailer Sway Control (TSC). All of these systems work
togethertoenhancevehiclestabilityandcontrolinvari-
ousdrivingconditions,andarecommonlyreferredtoas
ESP.
