Usingwheels/tiresnotequippedwithTPMsensors.
Ifyouinstallthesparetireinplaceofaroadtirethat
hasapressurebelowthelow-pressurewarninglimit,
upon the next ignition key cycle, a chime will sound
andthe“TirePressureMonitoringTelltaleLight”will
turnON.Afterdrivingthevehicleforupto20minutes
above15mph(25km/h),the“TirePressureMonitor-
ingTelltaleLight”willflashonandofffor75seconds
andthenremainonsolid.Foreachsubsequentignition
key cycle, a chime will sound and the “Tire Pressure
Monitoring Telltale Light” will flash on and off for

If your vehicle is equipped with a matching full-size
spare wheel and tire assembly, it has a tire pressure
monitoring sensor, and can be monitored by the Tire
PressureMonitoringSystem(TPMS).Intheeventthat
thematchingfull-sizesparetireisswappedwithalow
pressureroadtire,thenextignitionkeycyclewillstill
showthe“TirePressureMonitoringTelltaleLight”to
beON,andachimetosound.Drivingthevehiclefor
up to 20 minutes above 15 mph (25 km/h) will turn
OFF the “Tire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Light” as
long as none of the road tires are below the low
pressurewarningthreshold.

orreplacetheoriginalroadtire,andreinstallitonthe
vehicleinplaceofthesparetire,theTPMSwillupdate
automaticallyandthe“TirePressureMonitoringTell-
taleLight”willturnOFF,aslongasnotirepressureis
below the low-pressure warning limit in any of the
four active road tires. The vehicle may need to be
drivenforupto20minutesabove15mph(25km/h)
inorderfortheTPMStoreceivethisinformation.

If your vehicle is not equipped with a matching
full-size spare wheel and tire assembly, it does not
haveatirepressuremonitoringsensorinthesparetire.
TheTPMSwillnotbeabletomonitorthetirepressure.
