Belt
The seat belts in the passenger seating positions are
equippedwithanAutomaticLockingRetractortosecure
aChildRestraintSystem(CRS).Thesetypesofseatbelts
aredesignedtokeepthelapportionoftheseatbelttight
aroundthechildrestraintsothatitisnotnecessarytouse
a locking clip. TheALR will make a ratcheting noise if
you extract the entire belt from the retractor and then
allowthebelttoretractintotheretractor.Foradditional
informationonALR,referto“AutomaticLockingMode”
InstallingaChildRestraintwithanALR:

ToinstallachildrestraintwithALR,first,pullenough
of the seat belt webbing from the retractor to route it
throughthebeltpathofthechildrestraint.Slidethelatch
plate into the buckle until you hear a “click.” Next,
extractalltheseatbeltwebbingoutoftheretractorand
thenallowthebelttoretractintotheretractor.Asthebelt
retracts,youwillheararatchetingsound.Thisindicates
thesafetybeltisnowintheAutomaticLockingmode.
