Disconnecttheoppositeendofthepositive(+)jumper EMERGENCY TOW HOOKS — IF EQUIPPED
cablefromthepositive(+)postoftheboosterbattery.
Disconnect the positive (+) end of the jumper cable
fromthepositive(+)postofthedischargedvehicle.
Reinstalltheairintakeduct.
If your vehicle is equipped with tow hooks, they are
mountedinthefrontandtherear.

NOTE: Foroff-roadrecovery,itisrecommendedtouse
both of the front tow hooks to minimize the risk of
damagetothevehicle.

Iffrequentjump-startingisrequiredtostartyourvehicle
you should have the battery and charging system in-
spectedatyourauthorizeddealer.

Chains are not recommended for freeing a stuck
vehicle.chainsmaybreak,causingseriousinjury
ordeath.

Accessories that can be plugged into the vehicle
poweroutletsdrawpowerfromthevehicle’sbattery,
even when not in use (i.e., cellular phones, etc.).
Eventually, if plugged in long enough, the vehicle’s
batterywilldischargesufficientlytodegradebattery
lifeand/orpreventtheenginefromstarting.
