After  starting  the  engine,  do not
drive the vehicle  until the vacuum
level  is  above  275  mmHg  below
atmosphere and warning light  has
turned off. If further trouble is expe-
rienced, the vehicle  should not be
driven at  all but  taken to Hyundai
authorised  repairer   by  a  profes-
sional towing service.
Charging  System Warn-
ing Light
Door Ajar Warning
Light
The  charging  system  warning  light
should come  on when the  ignition is
turnedon,thengooutwhentheengine
is running. If  the light stays on whilst
the engine is running, there  is a mal-
function in the electrical charging sys-
tem. If  the light comes on  whilst you
are driving,  stop, turn  off the engine
and  check  under  the  bonnet. First,
makecertainthegeneratordrivebeltis
inplace.Ifitis,checkthetensionofthe
belt.
The door ajar  warning light indicates
that  a  door  is not  correctly  closed.
Ensure that  the light  is extinguished
prior to driving the vehicle.

Low Fuel Level
Warning Light
The low  fuel warning  light serves  to
warn the driver that the remaining fuel
quantity is approximately 9  litres and
that the vehicle should be refuelled. If
the vehicle is  driven for an extended
period with the  low fuel warning light
illuminated  there exists  a  possibility
that misfiring due to fuel shortage may
occur. This situation must be avoided
to prevent damage to the catalyst oc-
curring.
Andthen,havethesystemcheckedby
your Hyundai authorised repairer.

CAUTION:
If the  drive belt (generator  belt) is
loose,  broken,  or  missing  whilst
the vehicle is driving, there may be
aseriousmalfunction,enginecould
overheat  because   this  belt  also
drives the water pump.
