Push the  safety catch lever to  the
left and lift the bonnet.

WARNING:
o  Always double check to be sure
that the bonnet is firmly  latched
before driving  away.  If it  is not
latched,thebonnetcouldflyopen
whilstthevehicleisbeingdriven,
causing a total loss  of visibility,
which  might  result  in  an  acci-
dent.
o  Thesupportrodmustbeinserted
completelyintotheholeprovided
in the  bonnet whenever  you in-
spect  the engine  compartment.
This will prevent the bonnet from
falling and possibly injuring you.
o  Do not move the vehicle with the
bonnet in the raised position, as
vision is obstructed and the bon-
net could fall or be  damaged.

Sun visors are fitted to both the driver
and  passenger  side  of  the vehicle.
Certain derivatives are equipped with
a vanity mirror which is located on the
backofthedriverandpassengervisor.
The visor  may be lowered  to reduce
theamountofglarefromdirectlyahead,
or  may be  moved  towards the  side
window to reduce glare from the side
of the vehicle, once the inner pivot has
been unclipped from the bracket.

Hold the bonnet open with the sup-
port rod.
Before closing the bonnet,  return the
support rod to its clip to prevent it from
rattling.  Lower the  bonnet  until  it is
about 1 ft.  (30 cm) above the  closed
position and let it drop. Make sure that
it locks into place.

CAUTION:
Make sure that the support rod has
been released  prior to closing the
bonnet.
