Removeanyheavydepositsofmudand
dirtwithahosebeforewashingthe
vehicle.
Somehighpressurecleaningsystems
aresufficientlypowerfulenoughto
penetratesuspensionjoints,
door/windowsealsanddamagetrim
anddoorlocks.Neveraimthewaterjet
directlyattheengineairintake,heater
airintakes,bodyseals(doors,sunroof,
windowsetc.),oratanycomponents
whichmaybedamaged(lights,mirrors,
exteriortrim,suspensionsealsand
gaiters,etc.).Makesurethatthe
pressurewashernozzleisalwaysata
distanceofmorethan12inches(300
mm)fromanycomponentofthe
vehicle.
Makesuretheareasaroundairintakes
andthefrontgrillearecleanandclearof
debris.Payparticularattentiontothe
lowergrilleandradiator.Failuretodo
somaycausetheenginetooverheat,
leadingtosevereenginedamage.
Makesurethevehicle'sundersideiscleanedas
soonaspossibleafterdrivingoff-road.
Donotuseapowerwashsysteminthe
enginebayarea.
Followingcleaningofthevehicle's
exterior(particularlywithapressure
washer),itisrecommendedthatthe
vehicleistakenforashortdrivetodry
outthebrakes.
THEINTERIOR
DonotpolishtheInstrumentpanel.
Polishedsurfacesarereflective,and
mayinterferewiththedriver'sview.
Cleanplasticorcloth-facedsurfaceswithwarm
waterandnon-detergentsoap,andthenwipe
cleanwithasoftcloth.
Substanceswhicharecorrosive,such
asbirddroppings,candamagethe
vehicle’spaintworkandshouldbe
removedassoonaspossible.
LEATHERUPHOLSTERY
Donotapplypolishtoanyunpainted
areasofbumpermouldings.Itwill
becomeingrainedinthetexturedfinish.
Onlyusecleaningproductsspecifically
designedforuseonleather.Donotuse
chemical,alcohol,orabrasive
materials,astheywillcauserapid
deteriorationoftheleather.Theuseof
productswhicharenotapprovedwill
invalidateyourwarranty.
UNDERBODYMAINTENANCE
Regularlyflushtheunderbodywithplain
water,andpayparticularattentiontoareas
wheremudanddebriscollect.
Ifyouareinanydoubtastowhich
productstouse,consultyour
Dealer/AuthorisedRepairer.
Ifdamageorcorrosionaredetected,havethe
vehiclecheckedbyaDealer/Authorised
