returnedtothespecifiedrunningpressures
beforedriving.
Whentheoriginalwheelsandtyresarerefitted,
thevehiclewillneedtotravelashortdistance
toresettheTPMSandextinguishthewarning
lamp.
PRESSURECOMPENSATIONFOR
TEMPERATURECHANGES
Acolderambientlocaltemperaturewillreduce
pressurewithinthetyre.Aneffectisto
decreasesidewallheightandtoincreasetyre
shoulderwearwiththepotentialfortyrefailure.
Vehicledynamicscouldalsobeadversely
affected.
TYREDEGRADATION
Tyresdegradeovertime,duetotheeffectsof
ultravioletlight,extremetemperatures,high
loads,andenvironmentalconditions.Itis
recommendedthattyresarereplacedatleast
every6yearsfromthedateofmanufacture,but
theymayrequirereplacementmorefrequently.
Tyrepressurescanbeadjustedtocompensate
beforethestartofthejourney.Alternatively,
tyrepressurescanbeadjustedwhenthearea
oflowerambienttemperatureisreached.
USINGSNOWCHAINS
Onlyusetractiondevicesinheavy
snowconditions,oncompactedsnow.
Neverexceed50km/h(30mph)when
tractiondevicesarefitted.
Inthissituation,thevehiclemustbeleftinthe
