Illuminates,asabulbcheck,when
theignitionisswitchedonand
extinguisheswhentheengineis
started.Ifthelampremainson,
flashes,orilluminateswhile
driving,stopthevehicleassoon
assafetypermitsandswitchoff
theengineimmediately.
AMBERandYELLOWwarninglampsarefor
secondarywarnings.Someindicatethata
vehiclesystemisinoperation,othersindicate
thatthedrivermusttakeactionandthenseek
qualifiedassistanceassoonaspossible.
GREENandBLUElampswithintheinstrument
panelindicatesystemstatus.
Checkandtopuptheoillevel,ifnecessary.
Starttheengine:Ifthelampremains
illuminated,switchtheengineoffimmediately
andseekqualifiedassistancebefore
continuing.
LAMPCHECK
Awarninglampbulbcheckisinitiatedwhenthe
ignitionsystemisswitchedonandlastsfor3
seconds(exceptfortheairbagwarninglamp
whichwillremainonfor6seconds).Ifany
warninglampremainsonafterthisperiod,
investigatethecausebeforedriving.
BATTERYCHARGE(RED)
Illuminates,asabulbcheck,when
theignitionisswitchedonand
extinguisheswhentheengineis
started.
Somewarninglampshaveassociated
messagesdisplayedintheMessagecentre.
Note:Notallwarninglampsareincludedinthe
check(forexample,highbeamheadlampsand
directionindicators).
Ifthelampremainsonorilluminateswhile
driving,thereisafaultwiththebattery
chargingsystem.Seekqualifiedassistance
urgently.
CRITICALWARNINGMESSAGE(RED)
Illuminateswhenacriticalwarning
messageisavailableinthe
Messagecentre.
BRAKE(RED)
Illuminatesbriefly,asabulb
check,whentheignitionis
switchedon.Ifthelamp
illuminateswhiledriving,suspect
lowbrakefluidlevelorafaultwith

(EBD)system.
