furtherontheaccelerator.Thisisnormalsystembehavior.
TheTractionControl௢on/offswitch,locatedontherightsideofthe
instrumentcluster,illuminatesOFFwhenthesystemisturnedOFF.The
TractionControl௢systemwillreverttotheONpositioneverytimethe
ignitionisturnedOFFandON.
Ifyoushouldbecomestuckinsnoworiceoronaveryslipperyroad
surface,tryswitchingtheTractionControl௢systemoff.Thismayallow
excesswheelspinto“dig”thevehicleoutandenableasuccessful
“rocking”maneuver.
Ifasystemfaultisdetectedthetractioncontrolactivelightwill
illuminate,theTractionControl௢on/offswitchwillnottoggleonandoff,
andyourvehicleshouldbeservicedassoonaspossible.
STEERING
Yourvehicleisequippedwithpowersteering.Powersteeringusesenergy
fromtheenginetohelpsteerthevehicle.
Topreventdamagetothepowersteeringpump:

Neverholdthesteeringwheeltotheextremerightortheextremeleft
formorethanafewsecondswhentheengineisrunning.
Donotoperatethevehiclewithalowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevel
(belowtheMINmarkonthereservoir).
Ifthepowersteeringsystembreaksdown(oriftheengineisturned
off),youcansteerthevehiclemanually,butittakesmoreeffort.
Ifthesteeringwandersorpulls,theconditioncouldbecausedbyanyof
thefollowing:
