Winterblendsmaycontainupto30%unleadedgasoline(25%plusthe
denaturant)toenhancecoldenginestarts.Severelycoldweathermay
requireadditionalmeasuresforreliablestarting.RefertoColdWeather

Ethanolismorechemicallyactivethangasoline.Itcorrodessomemetals
andcausessomeplasticandrubbercomponentstoswell,breakdownor
becomebrittleandcrack,especiallywhenmixedwithgasoline.Special
materialsandprocedureshavebeendevelopedforflexiblefuelvehicles
andthedispensersusedbyethanolfuelproviders.
Flexiblefuelcomponentsandstandardunleadedgasolinefuel
componentsarenotinterchangeable.Ifyourvehicleisnot
servicedinaccordancewithflexiblefuelvehiclesprocedures,damage
mayoccurandyourwarrantymaybeinvalidated.
Whenrefuelingalwaysshuttheengineoffandneverallow
sparksoropenflamesnearthefillerneck.Neversmokewhile
refueling.Fuelvaporisextremelyhazardousundercertainconditions.
