Replacethetirewhenthishappens.
Tread wear indicator

Do not include (TEMPORARY USE ONLY)
spare tire in rotation.
Also,inspectthemforunevenwearand
damage.Abnormalwearisusuallycaused
byoneoracombinationofthefollowing:
Incorrecttirepressure
l
New tread
Worn tread
Improperwheelalignment
l
Out-of-balancewheel
l
Youshouldreplaceitbeforethebandis
acrosstheentiretread.
Severebraking
l
Afterrotation,inflatealltirepressuresto
specification(page10-7)andinspectthe
lugnutsfortightness.
CAUTION
Rotateunidirectionaltiresandradial
tiresthathaveanasymmetricaltread
patternorstudsonlyfromfronttorear,
notfromsidetoside.Tireperformance
willbeweakenedifrotatedfromsideto
side.
