recommendedthattiresgenerallybe
replacedwhentheyare6yearsorolder.
Heatcausedbyhotclimatesorfrequent
highloadingconditionscanaccelerate
theagingprocess.Youshouldreplace
thesparetirewhenyoureplacethe
otherroadtiresduetotheagingofthe
sparetire.Regardingthemanufacturing
weekandyearisindicatedwith4digit.
RefertoThetirelabelingonpage9-21.
Don'tuseyourtemporarysparetire
rimwithasnowtireora
conventionaltire.Neitherwill
properlyfitandcoulddamageboth
tireandrim.

lifeoflessthan5,000km(3,000
miles).Thetreadlifemaybeshorter
dependingondrivingconditions.

Thetemporarysparetireisfor
limiteduse,however,ifthetread
wearsolid-bandindicatorappears,
replacethetirewiththesametypeof
temporaryspare(page8-40).

Inspectthetemporarysparetireatleast
monthlytomakesureit'sproperlyinflated
andstored.

Usethetemporaryonlyuntilthe
conventionaltireisrepaired,whichshould
beassoonaspossible.
Maintainitspressureat420kPa(4.2
kgf/cm2orbar,60psi).
