Makesurethatthefolded-downrear
seatdoesnotinterferewiththefront
passenger’sseat-back.Thiswill
causethefrontpassenger’sweight
sensorstoworkimproperly(see
page25).Thismayalsocausethe
seatbeltreminderindicatorfora
frontpassengertoworkimproperly.
Also,checkthepassengerairbagoff
indicatortoassuretheproper
Makesureallrearshoulderbeltsare
positionedinfrontoftherearseat-
backwheneveritisintheupright
position.
Donotputanyheavyitemsonthe
seat-backwhenitisfoldeddown.
Makesureallitemsinthetrunk,or
itemsextendingthroughtheopening
intothebackseat,aresecured.
Looseitemscanflyforwardand
causeinjuryifyouhavetobrake
operationofthepassenger’s
advancedfrontairbag.
Tolocktheseat-backupright,pushit     hard.SeeCarryingCargoonpage
firmlyagainstthetrunkpanel.Make
sureitislatchedinplacebypulling
onthetopoftheseat.
