properlypositionthebelt).
Inaddition,thelap/shoulderbeltsin
allseatingpositionsexceptthe
driver’shavealockableretractor
thatmustbeactivatedtosecurea
childseat(seepage43).
Tounlockthebelt,pressthered
PRESSbuttononthebuckle.Guide
thebeltacrossyourbodysothatit
retractscompletely.Afterexitingthe
vehicle,besurethebeltisoutofthe
wayandwillnotgetclosedinthe
door.
Foraddedprotection,thefrontseat
beltsareequippedwithautomatic
seatbelttensioners.Whenactivated,
thetensionersimmediatelytighten
thebeltstohelpholdthedriverand
afrontpassengerinposition.
Iftheshoulderpartofthebeltis
pulledallthewayout,thelockable
retractorwillactivate.Thebeltwill
retract,butitwillnotallowthe
passengertomovefreely.
Todeactivatethelockableretractor,
unlatchthebuckleandlettheseat
beltfullyretract.Torefastenthe
seatbelt,pullitoutonlyasfaras
needed.
