5.Screwthefuelfillcapbackon
untilitclicksatleastonce.Ifyou
donotproperlytightenthecap,
themalfunctionindicatorlamp
maycomeon(seepage266).You
willalsoseea‘‘CHECKFUEL
CAP’’messageontheinformation
display.
OpeningandClosingtheHood
HOODRELEASEHANDLE

.Stopfillingthetankafterthefuel
nozzleautomaticallyclicksoff.Do
nottryto‘‘topoff’’thetank.Leave
someroomforthefueltoexpand
withtemperaturechanges.
6.Pushthefuelfilldoorcloseduntil
itlatches.
Ifthefuelnozzlekeepsclickingoff
eventhoughthetankisnotfull,
theremaybeaproblemwithyour
vehicle’sfuelvaporrecovery
system.Thesystemhelpskeep
fuelvaporfromgoingintothe
atmosphere.Tryfillingatanother
pump.Ifthisdoesnotfixthe
problem,consultyourdealer.
1.Parkthevehicle,andsetthe
parkingbrake.Pullthehood
releasehandleunderthelowerleft
cornerofthedashboard.The
hoodwillpopupslightly.
