Pourthefluidslowlyandcarefully
soyoudonotspillany.Cleanup
anyspillimmediately;itcould
damagecomponentsintheengine
compartment.
AlwaysuseHondaATF-Z1
(automatictransmissionfluid).If
it’snotavailable,youmayusea
DEXRON IIIautomatic
transmissionfluidasatemporary
replacement.However,continued
usecanaffecttheshiftquality.
Havethetransmissionflushedand
refilledwithHondaATF-Z1by
yourdealerassoonasitis
convenient.
Checkthefluidlevelwiththeengine
atnormaloperatingtemperature.
2.Removethedipstick(yellowloop)
fromthetransmission,andwipeit
withacleancloth.

.Parkthevehicleonlevelground.
Starttheengineandletitrununtil
theradiatorfancomeson,then
shutofftheengine.Foraccurate
results,waitabout60seconds
beforegoingtostep2,butdon’t
waitlongerthan90seconds.
3.Insertthedipstickallthewayinto
thetransmissionsecurelyas
shownintheillustration.
4.Removethedipstick,andcheck
thefluidlevel.Itshouldbe
betweentheupperandlower
marks.
