withthereclinedfrontpassenger’s
seat-backwhentherearseatis
foldeddown.
Iftheweightsensorsdetectthereis
nopassengerinthefrontseat,the
airbagwillbeoff.However,the
passengerairbagoffindicatorwill
notcomeon.
Hangingheavyitemsonthefront
passengerseat,orplacingheavy
itemsintheseat-backpocket.
Ifyoueverhaveamoderateto
severesideimpact,sensorswill
detectrapidaccelerationandsignal
thecontrolunittoinstantlyinflate
eitherthedriver’sorthepassenger’s
sideairbagandactivatetheseatbelt
tensionerontheaffectedside.
Toensurethatthepassenger’s
advancedfrontairbagsystemwill
workproperly,donotdoanything
thatwouldincreaseordecreasethe
weightonthefrontpassenger’sseat.
Thisincludes:
Ifyourvehicleisequippedwith
thefloormats,makesurethefloor
matbehindthefrontpassenger’s
seatishookedtothefloormat
anchor(seepage240).Ifitisnot,
thematmayinterferewiththe
properoperationofthesensors
andoperationoftheseat.
