itmustbereplacedbyyourdealer.A
Forsafety,youshouldcheckthe
conditionofyourseatbeltsregularly. beltthathasbeenwornduringa
crashmaynotprovidethesamelevel
Pulleachbeltoutfully,andlookfor
frays,cuts,burns,andwear.Check
thatthelatchesworksmoothlyand
thebeltsretracteasily.Ifabeltdoes
notretracteasily,cleaningthebelt
maycorrecttheproblem(seepage
239).Anybeltthatisnotingood
conditionorworkingproperlywill
notprovidegoodprotectionand
shouldbereplacedassoonas
possible.

Notcheckingormaintaining
seatbeltscanresultinserious
injuryordeathiftheseatbelts
donotworkproperlywhen
needed.
Whenthetensionersareactivated,
theseatbeltswillremaintightuntil
theyareunbuckled.

Checkyourseatbeltsregularly,
andhaveanyproblem
correctedassoonaspossible.
