released,theEBDsystemmayalso
beshutdown.
ImportantSafetyReminders
AvehiclewithABSmayrequirea
longerdistancetostoponlooseor
unevensurfaces,suchasgravelor
snow,thanavehiclewithoutanti-
lock.
ABSdoesnotreducethetimeor
distanceittakestostopthe
vehicle.Itonlyhelpswiththe
steeringcontrolduringbraking.
ABSwillnotpreventaskidthat
resultsfromchangingdirection
abruptly,suchastryingtotakea
cornertoofastormakingasudden
lanechange.Alwaysdriveatasafe
