Shiftthetransmissiontoneutral.
Leavetheignitionswitchinthe
ACCESSORY(I)positionsothe
steeringwheeldoesnotlock.
Therearetwowaystotowyour
vehicle:
Flat-bedEquipment-Theoperator
loadsyourvehicleonthebackofa
truck.Thisisthebestwayto
transportyourvehicle.
Withthefrontwheelsontheground,
donottowthevehiclemorethan50
miles(80km),andkeepthespeed
below35mph(55km/h).
Automatictransmission:
Releasetheparkingbrake.
Starttheengine.
Wheel-liftEquipment-Thetow
truckusestwopivotingarmsthatgo
underthefronttiresandliftthemoff
theground.Thereartiresremainon
theground.Thisisanacceptable
waytotowyourvehicle.
ShifttoD,thentoN.
Turnofftheengine.
Donottiedownthevehicleatan
anglethatwouldallowthetowing
cablestocontactthevehicle’sfront
bumper.Toavoidpossibledamage,
protectthefrontbumperwithtape.
Leavetheignitionswitchinthe
ACCESSORY(I)positionsothe
steeringwheeldoesnotlock.
Ifyourvehicleisequippedwitha
frontspoiler,removeitbefore
towingsoitisnotdamaged.
