Setting locator lighting
̈ Move the selection marker with
button æ or ç to the Lighting
submenu.
Setting night security illumination
(Headlamps delayed shut-off)
With the locator lighting feature activated,
the exterior lamp switch in position U
Use this function to set whether you would
like the exterior lamps to remain on for
(୴ page 145) and the interior lighting in au- ̈ Press button j or k repeatedly
tomatic mode (୴ page 152), the following
lamps will switch on during darkness when
the vehicle is unlocked using button Œ
on the SmartKey or SmartKey with
KEYLESS-GO:
until the message Function Surround 15 seconds during darkness after exiting

Press button æ or ç to switch
the locator lighting function On orOff.
The locator lighting switches off when the
driver’s door is opened.
Turn the exterior lamp switch to
position U when exiting the vehicle.
If you do not open a door after unlocking
the vehicle with the SmartKey, the lamps
will switch off automatically after
approximately 40 seconds.
If after turning off the engine you do not
open a door or do not close an opened
door, the lamps will automatically switch
off after 60 seconds.
The locator lighting feature is
activated.
