functionreplacesthecommon
hand-heldgaragedooropenerwithathree-buttontransmitterthatis
integratedintotheinteriorofyourvehicle.Afterbeingprogrammedfor
garagedoors,theCar2U௡systemtransmittercanbeprogrammedto
operatesecuritydevicesandhomelightingsystems.
WARNING:Makesurethatpeopleandobjectsareclearofthe
garagedoororsecuritydeviceyouareprogramming.Donot
programtheCar2U௡systemwiththevehicleinthegarage.
DonotusetheCar2U௡systemwithanygaragedooropenerthatlacks
safetystopandreversefeaturesasrequiredbyU.S.FederalSafety
Standards(thisincludesanygaragedooropenermanufacturedbefore
April1,1982).
Besuretokeeptheoriginalremotecontroltransmitterforuseinother
vehiclesaswellasforfutureCar2U௡systemprogramming.Itisalso
recommendedthatuponthesaleorleaseterminationofthevehicle,the
programmedCar2U௡systembuttonsshouldbeerasedforsecurity
reasons.RefertoErasingtheCar2U௡HomeAutomationSystem
buttonslaterinthissection.
Readtheinstructionscompletelybeforeattemptingtoprogramthe
Car2U௡system.Becauseofthestepsinvolved,itmaybehelpfultohave
anotherpersonassistyouinprogrammingthetransmitter.
