FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH
FUEL
RESET
Thefuelpumpshut-offswitchisadeviceintendedtostoptheelectric
fuelpumpwhenyourvehiclehasbeeninvolvedinasubstantialjolt.
Afteracollision,iftheenginecranksbutdoesnotstart,thefuelpump
shut-offswitchmayhavebeenactivated.
Thefuelpumpshut-offswitchis
locatedinthepassenger’sfootwell,
bythekickpanel.
Usethefollowingproceduretoreset
thefuelpumpshut-offswitch.
1.
Turntheignitiontotheoff
position.
2.
3.
Checkthefuelsystemforleaks.
Ifnofuelleakisapparent,reset
thefuelpumpshut-offswitchby
pressinginontheresetbutton.
4.
Turntheignitiontotheon
position.Pauseforafewseconds
andreturnthekeytotheoff
position.
5.
Makeafurthercheckforleaksin
thefuelsystem.
FUSES AND RELAYS
Fuses
Ifelectricalcomponentsinthe
vehiclearenotworking,afusemay
haveblown.Blownfusesare
identifiedbyabrokenwirewithin
thefuse.Checktheappropriate
fusesbeforereplacinganyelectrical
components.

Note:Alwaysreplaceafusewithonethathasthespecifiedamperage
rating.Usingafusewithahigheramperageratingcancauseseverewire
damageandcouldstartafire.
