DRIVELINE UNIVERSAL JOINT, DRIVESHAFT AND SLIP YOKE
WARNING:Turnoffthepowerrunningboards,ifequipped,
beforeworkingunderthevehicle,jackingorplacinganyobject
underthevehicle.Neverplaceyourhandbetweentheextended
runningboardandthevehicle.Amovingrunningboardmaycause
injury.
Iftheoriginaluniversaljointsarereplacedwithuniversaljointsequipped
withgreasefittings,periodiclubricationwillbenecessary.
Note:Yourvehicle’sdriveshaftisbalanced.Ifundercoatingthevehicle,
protectthedriveshaft,universaljoints,andaxleandtransmissionflanges
topreventoversprayofanyundercoatingmaterial.Ifyourvehiclehas
four-wheeldrive,yourvehiclehastwodriveshafts,oneconnectedtothe
rearaxleandoneconnectedtothefrontaxle.
AIR FILTER
Refertoscheduledmaintenanceinformationfortheappropriate
intervalsforchangingtheairfilterelement.
Whenchangingtheairfilterelement,useonlytheairfilterelement
listed.RefertoMotorcraft௡partnumbersinthischapter.
WARNING:Toreducetheriskofvehicledamageand/or
personalburninjuriesdonotstartyourenginewiththeair
cleanerremovedanddonotremoveitwhiletheengineisrunning.
