Itisrecommendedthatyourvehiclebetowedwithawheelliftorflatbed

equipment.Donottowwithaslingbelt.FordMotorCompanyhasnot

approvedaslingbelttowingprocedure.

Ifthevehicle’sbatteryisdischarged,refertoAutomatictransmission

operationintheDrivingchapterfordirectionsonhowtomovethe

gearshiftleveroutoftheP(Park)position,forpropertowing.

On4x2vehicles,itisacceptabletotowthevehiclewiththefrontwheels

ontheground(withoutdollies)andtherearwheelsofftheground.
