orlaundryliquid.Theseproductscandiscolorandspotpainted
surfaces.

Neverwashavehiclethatis“hottothetouch”orduringexposureto
strong,directsunlight.
Alwaysuseacleanspongeorcarwashmittwithplentyofwaterfor
bestresults.
Drythevehiclewithachamoisorsoftterryclothtowelinorderto
eliminatewaterspotting.
Itisespeciallyimportanttowashthevehicleregularlyduringthe
wintermonths,asdirtandroadsaltaredifficulttoremoveandcause
damagetothevehicle.

Immediatelyremoveitemssuchasgasoline,dieselfuel,birddroppings
andinsectdepositsbecausetheycancausedamagetothevehicle’s
paintworkandtrimovertime.UseMotorcraft௡BugandTarRemover

Removeanyexterioraccessories,suchasantennas,beforeenteringa
carwash.
Suntanlotionsandinsectrepellentscandamageanypainted
surface;ifthesesubstancescomeincontactwithyourvehicle,
washoffassoonaspossible.

Ifyourvehicleisequippedwithrunningboards,donotuse
rubber,plasticandvinylprotectantproductsontherunning
boardsurface,astheareamaybecomeslippery.

UseMotorcraft௡CustomBrightMetalCleaner(ZC-15),availablefrom
yourauthorizeddealer.Applytheproductasyouwouldawaxto
cleanbumpersandotherchromeparts;allowthecleanertodryfora
fewminutes,thenwipeoffthehazewithaclean,dryrag.

Neveruseabrasivematerialssuchassteelwoolorplasticpads
astheycanscratchthechromesurface.
