securelylockedisdangerousasit
couldflyopenwhilethevehicleis
movingandblockthedriver'svision
whichcouldresultinaserious
accident.

releasehandletounlockthehood.

Donotleaveitemsintheengine
compartment:
Afteryouhavefinishedcheckingor
doingservicingintheengine
compartment,donotforgetand
leaveitemssuchastoolsorragsin
theenginecompartment.
Toolsorotheritemsleftintheengine
compartmentcouldcauseengine
damageorafireleadingtoan
unexpectedaccident.

Insertyourhandintothehoodopening
andslidethehoodlatchlevertothe
rightandliftthehood.

Checkunderthehoodareatomake
certainallfillercapsareinplaceand
alllooseitems(e.g.tools,oil
containers,etc.)havebeenremoved.
Insertthesupportrodinitsclipwhile
holdingupthehood.Verifythatthe
supportrodissecuredintheclipbefore
closingthehood.
Closethehoodsothatitlockssecurely.
