unexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofseriousinjuries.
Donotoverloadyourvehicle:
Overloadingyourvehicleisdangerousasiscouldpreventtheairbagcrashsensor
systemfromaccuratelydetectingacollisionorroll-overaccidentresultingin
incorrectorunexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofseriousinjuries.
Thegrossaxleweightrating(GAWR)andthegrossvehicleweightrating(GVWR)for
yourvehicleareontheMotorVehicleSafetyStandardLabelonthedriverdoor
frame.Donotexceedtheseratings.
Donotdrivethevehicleoff-road:
DrivingyourMazdaoff-roadisdangerousbecausethevehiclehasnotbeendesigned
todosuch.Drivingthevehicleoff-roadcouldpreventtheairbagcrashsensorsystem
fromaccuratelydetectingacollisionorroll-overaccidentresultinginincorrector
unexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofseriousinjuries.
Donotmodifythesupplementalrestraintsystem:
Modifyingthecomponentsorwiringofthesupplementalrestraintsystemis
dangerous.Youcouldaccidentallyactivateitormakeitinoperable.Donotmake
anymodificationstothesupplementalrestraintsystem.Thisincludesinstallingtrim,
badges,oranythingelseovertheairbagmodules.Italsoincludesinstallingextra
electricalequipmentonornearsystemcomponentsorwiring.AnAuthorizedMazda
Dealercanprovidethespecialcareneededintheremovalandinstallationoffront
seats.Itisimportanttoprotecttheairbagwiringandconnectionstoassurethatthe
bagsdonotaccidentallydeploy,thedriverseatslidepositionsensorandfront
passengerseatweightsensorsarenotdamagedandthattheseatsretainan
undamagedairbagconnection.
NOTE
Whenanairbagdeploys,aloudinflationnoisecanbeheardandsomesmokewillbereleased.

Neitherislikelytocauseinjury,however,thetextureoftheairbagsmaycauselightskininjuries
onbodypartsnotcoveredwithclothingthroughfriction.
