onproperequipmentandsafedrivinghabits.Towingatrailerwillaffecthandling,braking,
durability,performance,andeconomy.

details.

Donottowatrailerduringthefirst1,000km(600miles)ofyournewMazda.Ifyou
do,youmaydamagetheengine,transaxle,differential,wheelbearings,andother
powertraincomponents.

TTWandGCWR
Thetotaltrailerweight(TTW),grosscombinationweightrating(GCWR),grossaxle
weightrating(GAWR),trailerload,andtrailertongueloadmustbewithinthe
prescribedlimits.
Thetotaltrailerweight(TTW)isthesumoftheweightsofthetrailerload(trailer
l
weightpluscargo),trailerhitch,vehiclepassengers,andvehicleload.Neverallow
thetotaltrailerweight(TTW)toexceedspecificationsintheTrailerTowing-Load
Table.
ThemaximumGCWRisthecombinationweightofthetrailerandloadplusthe

towingvehicle(includingtrailerhitch,vehiclepassengers,andload).Itmustnot
exceedspecificationsintheloadtable.
GAWRandGVWR
DonotexceedfrontandrearGAWR(grossaxleweightrating)andGVWR(grossvehicle
weightrating).Ifyoudo,vehiclehandling,braking,andperformancewillbeaffected.
ThesevaluesarealsoontheMotorVehicleSafetyCertificationLabelpostedonthedriver's
doorframe.
