Ifthebatteryhadbeendisconnected
duringvehiclemaintenanceorforother
reasons,themoonroofmaynotfullyopen
orclose.Themoonroof'sjam-safe
qJam-safeMoonroof
functiondoesnotfunctionwhilethe
moonroofisre-setting.Carryoutthe
followingproceduretoresumeoperation:
Ifaperson'shands,headoranobject
blocksthemoonroofduringclosing
operation,themoonroofwillstopand
openhalfway.

TurntheignitionswitchtotheON
position.
WARNING
Makesurenothingblocksthe
moonroofjustbeforeitreachesthe
fullyclosedposition:

Pressthetiltswitch,topartiallytilt
opentherearofthemoonroof.
NOTE
Blockingthemoonroofjustbeforeit
reachestheclosedpositionis
dangerous.
Ifthere-setprocedureisperformedwhilethe
moonroofisintheslideposition(partially
open)itclosesbeforethereartiltsopens.
Inthiscase,thejam-safefunction
cannotpreventthemoonrooffrom
stopping.Iffingersarecaught,
seriousinjuriescouldoccur.

RepeattheprocedureinStep2.The
rearofthemoonrooftiltsopentothe
fullyopenposition,thenclosesalittle.
NOTE
Dependingondrivingconditions,aclosing
l
moonroofcouldstopandstartopening
whenthemoonrooffeelsashockthatis
similartosomethingblockingit.
Themoonroof'sjam-safefunctiondoesnot
l
functionwhilethemoonroofisinitializing.
