NEVERputarear-facingchild-restraint
systemonthefrontpassengerseat
whetheryourvehicleisequippedwitha
seatweightsensorornot.
Thisseatisalsonotsetupfortethered
child-restraintsystems,puttheminoneof
therearseatpositionssetupwithtether
anchors.
LikewisetheLATCHchild-restraint
systemcannotbesecuredinthefront
passenger'sseatandshouldbeusedinthe
second-rowseats.
Donotallowanyonetosleepagainstthe
sidewindowifyouhaveanoptionalside
andcurtainairbag,itcouldcauseserious
injuriestoanoutofpositionoccupant.As
childrenmoreoftensleepincars,itis
bettertoputthemintherearseat.If
installingthechild-restraintsystemonthe
frontseatisunavoidable,followthese
instructionswhenusingafront-facing
child-restraintsysteminthefront
passenger'sseat.
Alwaysmovethefrontpassengerseat
asfarbackaspossibleifinstallinga
front-facingchild-restraintsystemonit
isunavoidable:
Asyourvehiclehasfrontairbags
anddoublysobecauseyourvehicle
hassideairbags,afront-facing
child-restraintsystemshouldbeput
onthefrontpassengerseatonly
whenitisunavoidable.
Evenifthefrontpassengerairbag
deactivationindicatorlight
illuminates,alwaysmovetheseatas
farbackaspossible,becausethe
forceofadeployingairbagcould
causeseriousinjuryordeathtothe
child.
