Theradarsensorsareequippedinsidethe
rearbumper.
Radar sensors
Alwayskeepthebumpersurfacenearthe
radarsensorareacleansothattheBSM
systemoperatesnormally.Refertothe
ExteriorCare(page8-55).
PresstheBSMOFFswitchagaintoturn
ontheBSMsystem.TheBSMOFF
indicatorlightturnsoff.
NOTE
NOTE
Thesystemmaynotoperatenormallywhen
TheBSMOFFindicatorlightflashesifthe

towingatrailer.Turnoffthesystemby
operatingtheBSMOFFswitchwhen
towingatrailer.
radarsensorscannotoperatenormally.If
thelightremainsflashingaftercleaningthe
bumpersurfaceneartheradarsensorarea,
consultanAuthorizedMazdaDealer.
IftheignitionswitchisturnedtotheLOCK

positionwiththeBSMsystemturnedoff,the
systembecomesoperableautomatically
whentheignitionswitchisturnedtotheON
position.
Forrepairsorpaintworkaroundtheradar
sensors,orreplacementofthebumper,
consultanAuthorizedMazdaDealer.
