StartingaFloodedEngine
Iftheenginedoesnotstartthefirsttime,
performthefollowingproceduretostart
theengine.

Whiletheacceleratorpedalisfully
depressed,turntheignitionswitchto
theSTARTpositionandcrankthe
engineforabout7to8seconds.

Releasetheignitionswitchand
acceleratorpedal.
Starttheengineasnormallywithout
depressingtheaccelerator.
Thefuelinjectioniscutbyfully
depressingtheacceleratorpedal.
IftheenginestartsduringStep1,the
enginewillrevup.Releasetheignition
switchandacceleratorpedal
immediately.

Avoidracingtheengineordrivingthe
vehiclerightafterstartingtheengine.
Donotholdtheignitionswitchinthe
STARTpositionforover10seconds.It
maydamagethestarteranddrainthe
battery.

Iftheenginestilldoesnotstartusing
theaboveprocedure,haveyourvehicle
inspectedbyanAuthorizedMazda
Dealer.
